The world of celebrity was rocked to its very foundations today when it was announced singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse was adopting a white baby from her own country. In a move that has already been branded as "disgusting" by Madonna and Angelina Jolie, Amy confirmed she was not only adopting a child from her own ethnic background, instead of rumoured name choices of Moon Unit or Raspberry Tiger, she was in fact planning to call him George.

A close associate of Miss Winehouse's said, "Amy's not trying to be different, she believes in 21st century Britain a child adopted from the same ethnic group as hers should be accepted in time" they added, "George is a family name, it would have been easy to make the situation more acceptable by calling the little fella Star Trooper but Amy likes to do things her own way".

When asked to add to her earlier comment Angelina Jolie said, "I'm always being accused of living too alternative a lifestyle but even I wouldn't go this far, how anyone can do that when there are perfectly good babies ready to be adopted in a dozen different third world countries is beyond me".

In unrelated news a so far un named footballer is planning legal action to keep rumours of his blatant fidelity out of the papers, a spokesman said "Look he may have been faithful during his entire 10 year marriage but surely that's his and his wives business, dragging the sordid details of their happy loving relationship through the gutter press is not in the public's best interests".

This writer wonders just how far we will let these individuals go in the name of celebrity.

Make Jude's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
