A group of tabloid journalists have made an impassioned appeal for Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard and The One Show's Christine Bleakley to come clean with regard to the exact nature of their relationship.
Lamps and Christine have been spotted together on several occasions but have been reluctant to divulge to press and public whether or not they are an item, and have continued to zealously guard their privacy.
The press are keen to know, because in order for them to run lurid headlines in the event of any forthcoming scandal they first have to establish that the duo are in fact a bona fide couple. Otherwise there will be no scandal.
"It's ridiculous is this," tabloid journalist Russel McScum told this reporter. "We just need to know if they're actually together or not. I mean, if a John Terry/Vanessa Perroncel type scandal surfaces, we can't print that the one is being unfaithful to the other unless we have already established that they're together to start with."
Another tabloid journalist complained that Lampard and Bleakley simply weren't playing the game, and that if they didn't come clean soon, then the press would just have to start making things up.
For a change.
