image for Katie Price: It Was A Set-Up
Alex Reid undercover as Maddy Ford - Peter played straight into his hands

Katie Price has exclusively revealed the truth behind the secret love affair of her former husband Peter Andre. She informed the press this morning that she set Pete up by planting a secret lover within his circle of friends.

Katie revealed how she disguised cross dressing ex-cagefighter and second husband Alex Reid as a blonde female stylist and sent him undercover. As ordered Alex then infiltrated Pete's inner circle under the pseudonym of 'Maddy Ford', and embarked on a hot love affair behind closed doors.

Katie stated, "I knew he would want to keep any relationship he had quiet in order to protect the kids, but that was just making ME and Alex look bad so I came up with this cunning plan."

"I was quite clever really. I didn't call him Roxanne in case Pete sussed what I was up to. My boy done amazing and thanks to him we've finally shown Pete for what he really is. When we sold the story to the press I gave Alex a bit of pocket money out of it."

"Hopefully now everyone can see what he's really like and they'll stop liking him and start liking me."

When asked why he did it Alex Reid said, "What Katie wants Katie gets."

Footage of how the stunt was executed is scheduled to be broadcast later in the year as part of Katies new reality TV show Alex Under The Covers.

Peter Andre was unavailable for comment as he has been summonsed by God to review his saintly status following the shock revelations.
