Mel Gibson, who has recently finished a movie in Mexico and was apparently celebrating Saturday night, because he was pulled over after weaving a bit down the street in Los Angeles.
"Funny thing", the arresting cop told one of our reporters, "He wasn't weaving until we got up close behind him."
Mel, who has been with his Russian girlfriend since being separated from his wife, did not throw a fit this time but according to the officer, was actually laughing and clapping his hands when he got out of the car.
"He asked us to take him on to jail. He said at least there he would have some peace and quiet from 'Natasha'."
According to the junior officer in the arrest, his partner and Captain asked Mr. Gibson if he knew he was drunk when he got behind the wheel."
"That's when Mr. Gibson asked the Captain, who takes his job very seriously, 'Did you know that you look like one of the Village People?'
"Captain Victor Willis didn't like that a bit. He handcuffed Mel and we took him to the station while he kept laughing and singing "Macho Man."
Those at police headquarters say Gibson insisted that he be locked up where he mumbled about 'Natasha and sang "Macho Man" and "YMCA" most of the night.
