NEW YORK CITY - David Letterman informed Regis Philbin on Live With Regis and Kathy that he recently received a text message from Grandma Lee informing him that she has intimate photos of her and Jay Leno.
Letterman told Philbin that apparently Leno had promised Grandma Lee an appearance on his show and he failed to come through with his promise.
Grandma Lee said that a representative from Leno's office who called herself, Kiki LaFleur, called her and said that Leno was booked solid through September of 2010.
LaFleur stated that Leno wanted to express his sincere disappointment at having to go back on his promise and he will be sending her a nice 8 by 10 autographed glossy of him sitting on the hood of one of his classic cars, a 1928 Kia Spectra.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: I know, I did not believe it either. But I actually looked it up on the Internet and I read where the Kia Spectra was first introduced in 1927.]
Kiki LaFleur informed Grandma Lee that unfortunately she just has to understand that show business is a ruthless business and if she doesn't believe it then all she has to do is call up Conan O'Brien and he will certainly tell her.
The 93-year-old Florida native told Miss LaFleur that if she did not appear on Leno's show that she was going to take the extremely explicit photos that she had taken of her and the 'Chinmaster' doing the 'Wild Thang' and put them on MySpot.com.
SIDENOTE: Jay Leno spoke to his attorney and Leno now says that he has had a change of heart. Grandma Lee will be appearing on Jay Leno's Tonight Show on the very first show after NBC's Winter Olympics from Vancouver conclude.
