HOLLYWOOD - The Critic's Choice Award Show surprise of the night was provided by Sandra Bullock. The star who made a total of nine (9) movies last year tied with Meryl Streep for 'The Best Actress Award.'
Both women went up on stage to receive the award. As both women were standing there suddenly Bullock grabbed Streep and planted a big 'open mouth' kiss on the 60-year-old Streep.
The two actresses seemed to enjoy it and so much so that they finally separated when the orchestra conductor started playing the wrap it up music.
Streep gained her composure and thanked everyone for the award and said that she had not planned on showing up but after the sensuously erotic greeting from Sandra she is sure glad she did.
The 45-year-old Bullock then took the microphone, but not in a Kanye West way, and said that on a scale of 1 to 10, Meryl is most definitely a 10 in the kissing department. She smiled, took a deep breath and remarked that she feels kind of bad because she thinks she may have hit one of Meryl's tonsils with her tongue.
The camera panned to Streep who was nodding in an affirmative manner while holding her throat.
Bullock then thanked about 24 people and said that she especially wanted to thank her husband, Jesse James, for allowing her to kiss a woman on the mouth every once and a while and not going and getting all jealous like a lot of husbands and boyfriends would.
The music started playing and both actresses walked off the stage hand in hand.
SIDENOTE: Reports coming out of Wyoming are stating that the state legislature met in an emergency session and decided by a vote of 54 to 46 to ban both Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep from ever setting foot in their state. Rep. Artie Pittbiggle expressed the general consensus of the 54 representatives when he said, "We in Wyoming pride ourselves in not having any of them lesbianites or lesbianetttes or whatever the hell they calls themselves in our state. It's wrong because it can have a strong libido affect on some of our state's well-mannered male citizens.
