image for Gordon Brown And Barack Obama To Release Single.
"What the hell do you mean we were pipped to the post by The Venga Boys??"

In a bizarre twist of cultural hype, Gordon Brown and Barack Obama have joined together and released a single, in the hopes of garnering an unprecedented UK and US joint number 1.

Taking inspiration from Rage Against The Machine grabbing the highly valued Christmas number 1 spot from this years X-Factor winner, Bobby Blokeybloke (or whoever it was)Gordy B and BO (as they're to be known from now on) have re-released the hit Edwin Starr single 'WAR'.

The single has been re-written as a pro-war song by veteran talksmith Bono.

"Har bejeezus," said the Irish loon, "I've been tinkin' about re-writin' dis sang fer a wheele noow."

"I tink de original was greet, but I'm bloody Bono, so whateva I do, it's ganna be grand, eh?" he slurred through champagne.

The original song began with the classic, often replicated line, 'War, What is it good for, Absolutly nothing, Say it again." The new version has been updated to read "War, What is it good for, Oil, and the bringing to the knees of all heathen non-believers in our society of Christian children, Do you want me to, Say it again?'.

Many believe the song will ostracize Muslims from buying the single, Bono has other ideas. "If ya ask me, I feel dat da Musie's will lurv dis song, I spent a whole afternoon writin' dis. Dey can't complain at all"

Bono purposefully rewrote one of the verses to read "War, it ain't nothing but a heartbreaker, War, it's got one friend, That's the Muslim, Ooooh, war, has shattered Many a young Iraqies dreams, Made him disabled, bitter and mean, Life is much to short and precious, To spend fighting wars these days, War can't give life,It can only take it away (like oil, give it back)."

Gordy B also flexes his rap stylee during the 6 minute opus. Bono says, "Gordy said he wanted to do a bit of a rap, so I just let 'im freestyle, he was damn good."

A snap shot of the rap follow's thus, "I'm Gordy B, from the 10 townhouse, I'm a real fine feller, but I'm no churchmouse, you can try and overthrow, but you'll get no grace, 'cause I got BO and Bono all over dis place!! Y'all!"

The song is available only through download, and is expected to reach number 1 within the hour. A full European tour has been booked, with a view to touring the States if the European leg is a success.

Support on the tour is expected from the newly re-formed, Abu Hamza fronted, Dr. Hook.

Make Nick Hobbs's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
