image for New Book Says Clinton Barely Escaped Being Indicted

According to a new book due out in February, former President Bill Clinton BARELY escaped being indicted for lying under oath.

Although eventually cutting a deal of some kind, most people agree that the former president's actions and his following behavior cost Al Gore and his wife, Hillary, a chance to be president.

The book, "The Death Of American Virtue" shows that Monica Lewinsky clearly believed that Clinton lied outright to the grand jury about their affair.

Politico.com reported Friday that the bawdy White House intern whose Oral....Oval Office indiscretions nearly brought down the Clinton Administration, told Duquesque University law professor Ken Gormley, the author of the new book, that she believed Bill clearly lied under oath.

The downfall of Bill and Lewinsky actually started on the internet, but was then taken up by the same magazines that are currently chasing the Tiger.

"It was so hard to believe at the time it happened", Gormley reportedly told in an interview concerning his book. "After such moral men in office as John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, who would have thought that a President of the United States of America would stoop so low?"
