At the rock concert over the weekend by the Boss, Bruce Springsteen, he stopped to say, "Hello Ohio!". Then he repeated the Ohio references several times until guitarist Steve Van Zandt whispered in his ear that they were in Michigan.
"Sorry! Getting a bit old, you know?" Which brought a laugh.
But he was embarrassed as everyone in the front row could tell, including this reporter.
Later, the Detroit Free Press said that Springsteen rocked the forgiving audience for nearly three hours with new and old hits, including a complete performance of his album ''Born to Run.''
I was an hour late getting to the site, as I had went to New Jersey so I didn't catch the first whole hour, I guess.
What no one was talking about was that Bruce's zipper was also open. But after I looked around, no one seemed to be saying anything, just a few lifted eyebrows toward each other by two young ladies who sat near by.
"Doesn't he realize his pants are unzipped?, I asked them.
"I think so", stated the one closest to me. Van Zandt whispered to him right after he came out on stage and he looked down and unzipped them."
