The computer console game, 'Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2' looks all set to smash previous game sales following its release this week.
In the UK, gamers started queuing up at around midnight in order to get their hands on a copy, many dressed as combat troops in the spirit of the moment.
The game has been described as incredibly bloody and brutal by many reviewers and looks well on course to smash the previous record set by 'Grand Theft Auto 4'
Both games are listed as first person shooters, in which the gamer arms him/herself to the teeth and goes around killing anything that moves amid a fog of spilled blood.
We asked a passer by outside a game store in Newcastle Upon Tyne if he intended to buy a copy?
Fenn DeBender 22, told us:
"Howay man. Ah can get aall the spilled blood I need doon the Bigg Market of a Fryder neet."
More as we get it.
