image for Jedward Feel Guilty Over Knocking Lucie Jones Off The X Factor

The twins John and Edward Grimes say they know they are not as talented as the gal they have grown fond of, but that's the way the show works.

"Lucie definitely has loads of talent", stated Edward, we think. "She deserves a shot on a show or a recording contract."

"That's true", stated the other Irish twin, we believe to be John. "We're here having a great time and people like fun people and vote for us...a recording contract for Lucie and two straight jackets for Jedward!"

However, the Twins admit they have been down on themselves over Welsh singer Jones who had become a friend.

"Maybe if she had had a twin?", joked John...no..Edward.
Hmmm. No, it's John! "But that's The X Factor rules!"

Welsh singer Jones, only 18, joined the twins, nicknamed "Jedward", in the bottom two in front of the biggest audience the ITV talent show has received to date.

She said the 18-year-old Irish boys, who have been criticised for their lack of singing talent, felt guilty about staying in the competition but, though she admitted to feeling "rotten" and "suicidal" about leaving, Jones insisted the twins deserved their place on the show.

Lucie also vowed to continue with her singing career, saying: "There must be some people that like me and my songs".

The film-themed episode of the competition was on Saturday night and attracted a peak audience of 13.6 million.
