image for Lindsay Lohan joins protect the Polar Ice-caps Campaign
Lindsay says "Don't just buy a fridge."

Lindsay Lohan has joined the "Protect the Polar Ice-caps campaign", and she plans to help this organisation by sponsoring her own giant Iceberg. Lindsay says "Everybody needs to do the same because its like such a very worthwhile thing to do. Its through small acts of conservation like this that we could end up saving the Whole world. All of it"

But Lindsay says she isn't just going to write a cheque and forget about her Iceberg. Oh No. She plans on going to visit it to make sure it is being looked after correctly.

Lindsay and her lovely friend Sam have decided to go to Antartica on Monday and try to save their Iceberg personally. They have bought a specially designed fridge and they aim to collect their Iceberg and put it in the fridge and take it home with them so it will last forever.

"This is like really important." Said Lindsay. "If you're iceberg is in the fridge, then it won't ever melt and, if it doesn't melt then it can't flood low-lying places like the Maldives and New York."

Lindsay has specifically asked the world to join her. She says, "Everyone has a little bit of room in their fridge for some more ice. Its so easy. Just go to Antartica and collect some. I don't know why everyone didn't start doing this in the 70s. If we had we could have solved the problem of global warming before we even believed we had a problem"

Linsay has even made up a slogan for the campaign. Its goes "DON'T LET POLAR BEARS DROWN. BUY A FRIDGE TODAY"

Because Lindsay says that is what is going to happen in the near future. POLAR BEARS ARE GOING TO DROWN. Lindsay also plans to take 5000 fans to Antartica with her in order to keep the other Icebergs that weren't lucky enough to be sponsored by her from getting too warm. Now that's lovely. Lindsay sounds like a very special girl. I think we should all join her campaign today. So, go buy a fridge, and don't just buy one fan this summer, but twenty.
