A new movie depicting the teenage angst of a young John Lennon has wowed audiences and critics alike at The Times Film Festival here in London, prompting comparisons with the runaway success of Slumdog Millionaire.
'Nowhere Boy' depicts Lennon's relationships with his mother and his Aunt Mimi and how he balanced the two polar opposites in his mind.
The film is directed by the artist Sam Taylor-Wood, previously best known for her short film of David Beckham asleep.
Aaron Johnson, the 23 year old actor who plays the young Lennon is hotly tipped to become a global teen-idol, and aroused further intrigue when he announced that he plans to marry Sam Taylor-Wood 42, the movie's director.
Fears that Aaron Johnson had become totally obssessed by the deceased former Beatle frontman were quickly allayed as we asked him if he had any intention of being gunned down by a crazed fan.
"Not on your Nelly mate," he told us.
More as we get it.
