Soul Diva Whitney Houston tonight overcame a potential disaster as she performed live on UK TV show the X-Factor.
Part way into Houston's performance a titty sling strap snapped, a minor event, nonetheless one which could have had embarrassing consequences on live television.
Ever the consummate professional, Ms Houston (she doesn't like being referred to as Mrs Brown) got on with the show and wowed the studio audience, as well as millions of TV viewers who were idly passing time until 'Doc Martin' came on.
What did surprise many people was that Cheryl Cole, out of Girls Aloud and married to a bloke many soccer fans regard as a total twat, who had earlier also performed 'live' failed to rush up on stage to console her 'friend' with a hug.
Many people questioned Cole's 'live' performance as to whether it really was live, but accepted that Cole didn't rush to hug Houston because the US Diva is considerably taller than Cole, and would have made her look a short arse.
Cheryl Cole continues in her relentless quest to find affection from the British public in the same manner as Cilla Black and Princess Diana captured public affection.
Ms Houston's performance gave cause for optimism, but proved that she's not as good as she used to be.
Those irritating little shits John and Edward are still in the contest, although Christ the Lord our God knows why.
More crap as we get it.
