The first new song to be released to the public following the death of Michael Jackson four months ago has been panned by critics and fans alike.
'This Is It' is, according to fans, weak, badly produced, cheesy, and just a mess.
The song was released on Jackson's website and had been eagerly anticipated, given the usual marketing spin that the ever financially savvy Jackson Family had put out. With security guards delivering the song to selected outlets.
"It's a huge disappointment," Jacko fan Taylor Whitemush told us. "At the end of the day there's nothing there to justify the hype."
Critic, Brush Limbo told us:
"The song was written twenty years ago, and it sounds like it. Apparently it wasn't 'good enough' to feature on the 'Dangerous' album. It's disjointed and quite awful. It's just another example of the Jacksons squeezing blood out of long dead stones."
No more on this. Enough said already.
