TLCC has confirmed on Tuesday that Jon & Kate Plus 8 will be renamed "Kate Plus Eight Minus Jon Who's Gone", beginning in November.
Reportedly it will continue to focus on the eight kids' lives but with a deeper focus on Kate's role as a single mother and who drops by to see 'the kids'.
Jon is officially gone but may appear in a cameo role from time to time, usually with his finger up his ass.
The announcement stated: "Given the recent changes in the family dynamics and that creep's carrying on all over the tabloids, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the current program to keep pace with the family," TLCC vice-president Tonita Monita Cale said.
"The family has evolved, except for Jon who's still a Neanderthal, and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate's journey really resonates with our viewers."
To translate: Jon is gone, Kate can re-mate.
Reportedly, Jon will stay on the show - for now - but his role will be significantly reduced to "best boy".
