LOS ANGELES, CA - Simon Cowell said in an interview today that the chemistry is different now between judges with even-less-talented former Spice Girl Victoria "Posh" Beckham guest-judging America's Got Idols in the absence of Paula Abdul.
"It's like comparing a cucumber to a pickle," said Cowell. "One is basically a vegetable, and the other one is basically a vegetable that's, well, pickled, really."
Judges Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, all secured lucrative deals to return to Idols, but Abdul, unable to secure her multi-billion dollar dream contract, announced on her official Tweeter page that she had voted herself off the popular Foxx television show after sputtering through eight seasons.
Speculation spread quickly as to possible replacements for the talented choreographer and dancer, but not singer, who many regarded as "the loopy judge."
She was known for her positive comments to the show's participants, her on-camera clashes with other judges, and her off-camera collisions with other judges, as well as walls, doors, furniture, and the floor.
Abdul has gone on to guest star on the new PastPrime series "I Thought That Diva Had Dropped Dead" and will host V8One's "Memorex Divas" on September 17.
"I just hope she doesn't audition for Idols," said Cowell.
