image for New Oasis guitarist revealed as Paul Gallagher - Noel's older brother
Paul Gallagher

Oasis, the rock super group have announced that their new lead guitarist will be Paul Gallagher. The band recently saw their songwriting guitarist, Noel Gallagher, quit the band following "altercations" between Noel and his brother Liam.

However, it is their older brother, Paul Gallagher, who will be replacing Noel for the remainder of the tour and in the recording of their new album.

During the announcement it was revealed that whilst Paul had been considered to be the fat, untalented one of the brothers, had in fact been songwriting for years and is now ready to begin recording the material with Liam and the band members.

In responding to suggestions that Paul was simply a bad Noel copy, Liam said "No f**king way man, R other kid is f**king s**t hot at the songs. He has got one called "Don't Champagne my Wonderwall" is the f**king most orginal song since "Cigarettes and Alcohol".
