This January fans of one of the greatest fights ever between Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier and how they then team up to thwart the invasion of Godzilla in the Philippines will hit the big screen in the US and Japan.
The bout is often ranked as one of the greatest fights of 20th century boxing, and is the climax to the bitter rivalry between Ali and Frazier over who was the legitimate Heavyweight Champion.
That situation had come about after Ali was stripped of the title over his refusal to join the armed forces when drafted during the height of the Vietnam war. Some years later, after repeated weekly prodding from Ali, Frazier petitioned President Richard Nixon to restore Ali's right to box, thereby bringing about the so called Fight of the Century between two undisputed heavyweight champions in 1971.
But no sooner is the fight over when someone comes running up on stage and announces that "Godzilla Is Here!"
Then the movie flashes back to Godzilla's first appearance over Tokyo as many of today's moviegoers do not remember the sheer terror that gripped an earlier generation.
Quickly, both Ali and Frazier, played by their daughters-both boxers, form an alliance that melts the hearts of die-hard boxing fans everywhere.
So hold unto your hats, "The Thriller In Manilla With Godzilla" is coming next January.
Kevin Federline has already signed to play Raymond Burr in the earlier Tokyo scenes, with Rosie O'Donnell as Godzilla.
