image for Robert Pattinson Wasn't After Twilight Series Until He Met Kristen Stewart

News being sounded across the net Saturday was that Robert Pattinson had never heard of the Twilight books or that they were planning to turn them into movies, until he met Kristen Stewart.

"I have to admit that all those rumors are true", stated Pattinson. "I had met Kristen and I liked what I saw and as we began talking about our lives, she told me about the possible movies she would be starring in, should the first become a hit."

"Right away I got interested in doing Twilight so I started doing my homework, became a near expert on the books and tried out for the part of Edward Cullen. When the news came, I turned my head away from the phone and gave a shout."

Apparently Kristen Stewart had the same reaction.

"Yes it's true, Robert and I do love each other but we actually know so little of our backgrounds. I LOVE doing the romantic scenes. I think that that is a big part of the movies doing well. A lot of the time we aren't acting. It's real."

Both say they will continue with other movies as well, but those scenes in Twilight is what they are looking forward to doing.

"We plan to rehearse a lot", laughed Pattinson.

"And the personality problem?"

"Oh, I'm still Edward sometimes and she's Bella, but it's better. I think Kristen wii be OK. In this business you answer to a lot of names."
