Actress Kristie Stewart of Twilight fame had a close call a couple of days ago that was not covered well, partly because of the Michael Jackson super-coverage and partly and luckily, she was OK but badly shaken.
Since all the trouble getting "New Moon" completed and someone apparently trying to delay it's release, maybe there's just a curse on Twilight or New Moon, the next version, as a taxi almost ended Robert Pattinson's career a week ago in New York City.
Perhaps it's a modern day Macbeth Curse or something, since none of this stuff happened before the first movie, "Twilight".
Stewart said a telephone pole was all that stood between her sports vehicle and a truck that came speeding across the lanes in a New Jersey Parkway near the toll plaza.
The truck was totally out of control after suffering a front tire blowout and rolled down a 60-foot mound on the westbound side of the Parkway interchange at around 3:30PM. It had crossed from the opposite side and somehow missed the on-coming traffic.
Stewart reportedly told the police that she felt she was at the Indy 500 and that everything was going in slow motion. The truck finally hitting a telephone pole just before it would have hit Stewart's vehicle.
"The driver was out of it for awhile", reported the police officer first on the scene, "and Ms. Stewart, who had parked and ran back, had her hand under his head. Then he came to, found he wasn't injured but agreed to be taken to the hospital to be check out. I recognized Ms. Stewart from the Twilight movie and her photos on the net. I wonder what the guy will think when he hears who took care of him?"
Meanwhile, Kristy had to go on, thankful for the telephone pole being where it was, and hurrying to have an interview with Joan Jett whom Kristy may be playing in an upcoming movie.
