image for Jonas Brothers Get Advice From Paul McCartney
"Get Back To Where You Once Belonged"

After having some time alone for a couple of weeks, Joe Jonas had the idea to try to call up Sir Paul McCartney to see if they could to get a fresh look at the ideas they have been seriously considering, the number one being splitting up the group, at least temporarily.

Finally after several tries, an agent for the brothers got through and all three took turns talking to someone who knew a lot about a group breaking up.

His advice?

"He was great", stated Kevin. "I'm still a little awe struck and we had a bit of trouble with our English which we both laughed about. I think Paul (he told me to drop the "Sir" part) told us some things he hasn't really discussed with a lot of people and some we're keeping quiet out of respect. But he gave us a LOT of advice that we can talk about."

"For one thing, he stated that the Beatles absolutely HAD to break up at the time. He said that from a distance and being a lot older, he can now see that several things could have worked out a lot differently, but you don't know that at that stage of your life and being in the middle of a whirlwind. That, even though they were not brothers, they had been close for a lot of years and that sometimes a friend can be as close or closer than brothers."

"Yeah", agreed Joe, "He just summed it all up for us. He said that if he could do it all again, he would have deflated his ego and had more serious discussions with John in particular. He said that he and John were great friends at one time but that all four were being pulled in different directions by four different sets of ideas."

"But the main thing he said", contributed Nick, "was that he wished now they could have went solo but with a plan to get back together every couple of years and do somethings together, or if necessary, combine their individual works and allowing the other three to do the back-up."

"He also told us that Ringo really wasn't for the split up as the other three were. But he and John and George knew that it was impossible to perform together and then begin what he called "snipping" at each other in between times. That the Beatles were about to change forever, but he now wishes they could have gotten back together- remember the song, "Get Back"- and done some stuff together again."

"He even said there was some discussion before John was killed, mostly through agents and other people."

"We have a lot to talk over about this", stated Kevin. "What Paul said makes sense and we have not been through anything near what those guys went through."

"At least for now we're planning to do a lot of stuff together and as solos, when that time comes."

"Yeah", agreed Nick. "Who knows how long we'll even be popular? I mean, who can tell?"

All three agreed that Joe's idea of calling Sir Paul McCartney was a great one and as Paul advised them, "Have fun while you can. It gets pretty serious later."
