image for Pattinson, Stewart & Crew Of New Moon Avoid Near Riot
Luckily, No Vancouver Riot!

Paparazzi photographers in Vancouver nearly caused a small riot over the weekend when word leaked out that the cast stars of Twilight's, New Moon were about to appear outside at the conclusion of the filming.

Next a group of fans saw the photographers and stayed just far enough behind to keep them in view.

Sure enough, celebrating the impending end of the New Moon shoot, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart chatted up a storm with co-stars Dakota Fanning, Rachelle Lefevre and series writer, Stephanie Meyer.

That's when the rush was on.

Amid all the photographers and mixture of fans, someone lost their footing and fell, bringing down several others with her.

Pattinson, in a checked shirt with black jeans and with a rolled-up script wedged into a pocket, quickly led the stars into the Blue Water Cafe & Raw Bar, money was exchanged and peace was finally restored, inside.

However on the outside, some joker yelled "He's got a bomb strapped to his chest!" and laughed but all most heard was the word, "Bomb!".

Although no one was hurt seriously, it could have been another WalMart stampede or Top Model riot.

Police, called in by the Cafe, soon cleared everyone out but a few drifted back, including a few reporters.

From inside, the crew were thanking Robert Pattinson for his quick actions.

A policeman later told the Vancouver Sun that several of the stars sent out a stack of signed autographs which were slipped to most of the hardcore fans still hanging around and invited a couple of Sun reporters to come in so things ended fine.

Meanwhile, Nikki Reed showed up and after she was told what had happened stated, "I'm glad I had a final word with the producer and missed it, although it sounds like fun."
