Much to the surprise of the MacDonald's employees at 8th and Marsh in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this morning (average age 78), the 279th Big Mac of the day gave birth to a perfectly formed slider before being stuffed into a sack for a drive-thru customer.
"It was pretty miraculous," reported Ruth Oldashell, who was handling the drive-thru window at the time. "I was about to ask the driver for the fourth time if he wanted french fries with his Big Mac." adding, "I'm a little forgetful. Then this baby slider, yes, slid right out of the Big Mac. It makes you wonder what those burgers are doing back there."
When asked what she did with the proud Big Mac, Ruth said, "I cleaned it up a bit, took a photo then stuffed the cute little thing and its mom into the sack like I always do. Of course the driver was long gone by then, so I had to eat them both. I can't remember if I ate the french fries or not; those little cries were a bit distracting."
