A song criticizing Chris Brown, "My Flow So Tight" is getting a fair amount of air play these days.
The song is called by a little-known dance group called Smoke Jumpers. It features the repeated line: "Chris Brown should get his ass kicked around."
A Web site for the group hyped the song as "the official Chris Brown dis record." Radio stations in cities such as Chicago, New York and Los Angeles have recently begun playing it.
"C.W. Griz", a member of the group who declined to give his real name since he expected Brown to be angered by the song, said Friday that he didn't think enough people in the music industry had spoken out against the singer and that he thinks Brown needs counseling for his own good.
"Here's this big guy beating up on a young lady and it's almost like everybody expects it. Well, it's not the way young ladies expect it from someone who is supposed to be in love with them. Those pictures of her are easy to find on the internet. She could have easily been killed. Chris Brown, we're doing you a favor. You want to wind up being another Mike Tyson?"
The 19-year-old Brown allegedly beat his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, on the night of the Grammy Awards in February. Brown was scheduled for arraignment on felony assault and criminal threat charges on Monday but it was delayed once again.
"I was really upset with the way a lot of celebrities and people were handling the situation," said C. W. Griz. "Not enough people were speaking out against Chris Brown. What he did was a thousand percent wrong."
"Even if you are a Chris Brown fan and I like his music, you want the guy to get some help for that temper before he winds up killing someone."
