The New York best seller New Moon my Stephanie Meyer was due to hit screens in November of 2009 but due to the recent fall in the economy the directors are finding it hard to come up with enough money to budget it.

Summit Entertainment boss Edmond Richies said at a recent conference that : "We are finding it very hard to get enough money to fund the film. We know that the film will rack up enough sales to pay for the costs but at the moment it is difficult."

Hope was still in sight but when a representative for Summit Entertainment announced earlier yesterday morning that the up coming sequel to Twilight, staring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was in fact going to be cancelled. Fans all around the globe are gutted and there is a planned silent protest in down town LA next Monday.

Not only does this new shock the viewers it has also shocked the Actors and the Directors of other films. Robert Pattinson said when he was asked about the cancellation: "I think I'm going to go to music, the music industry is thriving at the moment!" and Catherine Hardwick said "It's such a shock to me, and it makes me wonder that maybe if i had been in charge still, this may have not happened. maybe the Economy will pick up but for now, i guess the film industry is dead."

It is sad news for every twilight fan out there but hopefully it'll be back on its feet in no time!
