An unnamed writer for TheSpoof.com was today issued with the sternest warning available to site administrators.
The Spoof writer was accused of pandering for points by inviting readers to view stories featuring Hollywood teen idols whom he had never actually heard of, but inviting unsuspecting readers to rack up his points total by logging on to stories which actually had no bearing on what readers were actually looking for.
The spoof writer came clean when challenged.
"Okay, it could be construed as acting in a fraudulent and deceptive manner," he told us. "But I was just frustrated by these stories about people I'd never heard of, which quite frankly just weren't funny. I just thought I'd try to make stories about Brenda Song and Rob Pattinson vaguely amusing. I never meant to hurt anybody. The whole thing was intended as a joke. I'm sorry."
The unnamed contrubutor (Skoob1999) (allegedly) promised never to indulge in such underhanded behaviour ever again and issued an unreserved apology.
All points relating to these articles have been surgically removed, relegating the crap author back to his rightful position at number 87,327th in the writers' table, and to his previous social standing as a broken man.
Insiders tell us that the unnamed author (Skoob1999)was last seen sobbing uncontrollably into his beer, and that his wife, the indomitable Mrs Skoob was refusing to proffer succour or comfort of any description because of her husband's despicable behaviour.
"Liverpool beating United 4-1 at Old Trafford has definitely affected his world view," Mrs Skoob told us. "Now bugger off or I'll take me broom to you!"
More as we get it.
