According to the Los Angeles Amplifier, Chris Brown says he is seeking counseling from loved ones and family members, one week after an alleged attack against his girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened and downright pitiful I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my Rabbi, my mother, Father Sarducci, my agent Mark Linksey, the guys in my band, all the people who voted for me, the Academy and, excuse me, got my lists mixed up.... other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
The 19-year-old R&B singer issued a brief statement today through publicist Michael Sitrick. In it, Brown also says many of the reports about the incident are incorrect.
"I did not call Rihanna all those names that have been listed on the websites although the ones I used were almost as bad."
"Plus I never beat her up...well, not all that bad."
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media are wrong, absolutely wrong...well, let's say exaggerated. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, ahem...I would like to tell exactly..here let me read that thing. Until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else...except that one in a bathroom stall in the Los Angeles Airport. Those posts or writings checks signed under my name are frauds."
