image for "Hyde and Seikh" cop show to be cancelled

The widely regarded low point of BBC dramatic programming in 2009, aired its finaly episode last night.

Set in a suburb of Manchester, and based around an Indian police officer, the show "Hyde and Seikh" has been losing viewers consistently since its first show in February.

Much as the BBC scriptwriting team has worked around the clock to address the issues, the final nail in the coffin appears to be in place.

The premise for the show, a Manchester based police drama set in the suburb of Hyde, followed Jimmy Hyde, played by James Nesbitt. Hyde, with his partner, a Seikh policeman named Jamal Patel, spent a number of overlong and poorly written shows trying to locate missing people.

It is believed that Sky are planning to make a bid for the show.
