Today is the big day. Long time actresses Mary Kate and Ashley Fuller Olsen, also known as the Olsen Twins, even though they don't particularly like that title anymore, turn 18 today, June 13th. It is a big celebration.

At exactly 12:00AM last night, the girls rescheduled their acting, packed their bags and headed off for a WORLD TRIP!! Today, and as long as it takes for them to get back, the girls are going to travel the whole world for the first time without their family.

"We know it seems impossible," Said Mary Kate Olsen of the acting duo, "But that's the fun of it!! We are women now!! We want to accomplish what nobody else can!! Look out world, here we come!!" Olsen laughs, putting her arm around older twin Ashley's shoulder.

When we interviewed their family not that long ago, their father said he wasn't too pleased with the idea. "I tried to tell them they couldn't do it, but what can you expect?? My girls are determined." says their dad, David Olsen, 51, who has watched his daughters grow up from the time they were born.

The Olsen Twins were born June 13, 1986 approximately 2 minutes apart from each other.
"I am like, so totally excited to finally be a woman!!" screeches Ashley, who, along with twin sister Mary Kate, has been acting since the tender age of 9 months.

When we interviewed their shy 15 year old sister, Elizabeth, she just shrugged and answered, "It's cool, I guess."

We interviewed Jarnette Olsen not long before the rest of them and she said she was very displeased with the whole idea, "I mean, seriously," she says in a huff, "If those girls weren't 18, they, for sure, would be grounded for a long, long time."

Unfortunately their brother Trent Ryan Olsen, 20, couldn't make it to the interview for reasons he never told us.

Back to the point, we wish Mary Kate & Ashley Fuller Olsen a very happy 18th birthday!! This is a big day for you girls!
