The appearance of Britney Spears on the popular talent programme X-Factor has been revealed as a hologram.
Spokeswoman for the show, Milly O'Naire, who normally devises peurile premium rate phone call competitions advertised before each advertising break to part simple viewers from even more of their money to give to the owner of Cowbell Productions, said that they had been caught bang to rights.
The spokeswoman said that it wasn't actually Miss Spears who appeared on the results show, but a very clever stunt double and out of work soap extra by the name of Reg Titecodpeece who appeared by projected hologram. Reg said that although he felt it was a daunting task, he had a long wig and a pert rear capable of supporting a provocative bum wiggle.
However, the only part of the task he did actually find rather daunting was the thought of having to mime to the Miss Spears song.
He said that he knew nothing about the songs Miss Spears normally mimes to herself, but that he had it on good authority that there weren't many words and as long as he was prepared to learn a series of suggestive gruntings, pointings and body wriggling, he should have no trouble playing the part and fooling the public into a false sense of security that their votes are actually being counted.
Louis Walsh was said to be Irish.
