It has been revealed today that presenter Jonathan Ross actually got himself into his current spot of bother over pronunciation.
With 6 million reasons (running to 18 million reasons over 3 years) why he didn't want to resign following his recent spot of bother, he put it all down to his discussion with Mr Andrew Sachs about his granddaughter Georgina Baillie being completely misinterpreted.
It seems that it was all caused by Jonathan Ross's inability to pronounce his letter "r". It appears that his main intention was to undertake an interview with her for his new "Film 09" television series.
Mr Ross asked Mr Sachs what his grand-daughter Georgina thought of "Rank" films, which Mr Sachs understandably took offence to in view of how the word "Rank" was pronounced by Mr Ross.
He than asked Mr Sachs if Georgina would like to guest on his programme, view some films and then do some ranking over them. He then put what Mr Sachs thought was the final nail in the decency coffin by asking if Georgina Baillie was a good ranker and if she thought that doing a spot of ranking with him would be enjoyable for her.
