image for Sony withdraw game in case it offends Muslims
Islam says "NO to Holy Scriptures set to music!"

LittleBigPlanet is a new game that has been recalled for fear of offending Muslims. This is because there are two verses from the Koran in the background music.

We are not told what the actual verses are, but they could say "Allah is great" for all we know.

Manzoor Moghal, of the Muslim Forum think-tank, explained that words from the Koran should not be set to music because the words are seen to have come directly from God.

Micky Xu, the game's inventor told In Seine News;

"At first I was very disappointed that Sony have decided to recall the game but I can understand their fear. I know how Salman Rushdie must have felt when he wrote the Satanic Verses and perhaps they didn't want any fatwahs issued against me. The fact Sony have changed the music has been a good way of publicising it in a negative sort of way.

"Then I had a brainwave: if the Muslims will find it offensive, then the Christians won't, so I simply changed the lyrics to 'Jesus is The Way and the Truth and the Life' and they bought it!

"Little do they know that there are more Christians than Muslims in this world. If they don't want God's words set to music then that's their problem.

"Now the Muslims are happy, the Christians are delighted and I'm ecstatic because sales are going mega."
