With the $700 Billion federal bailout set, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is calling for a follow up. The Schwarzenegger plan calls for $100 Trillion in new spending to prop up the economy.
In the first phase, $1 Trillion is to be spent on documentaries showing how bailouts have saved America in the past. "Movies make everything better," said the Governor.
Schwarzenegger is crossing party lines by enlisting leftist documentary filmmaker Michael Moore. Moore will be paid $100 Billion to coordinate the effort. He promises to give "at least $2 Billion" to charity.
In the second phase, $20 Trillion will be spent making blockbuster films to help make Americans happy. Members of the various Hollywood unions will be paid $1 million apiece for their efforts, with successful members getting $1 billion each.
"I talked with my advisor Warren Buffett," said Schwarzenegger, "and he's on board. Everyone knows Warren is the man."
Buffett was supportive: "You know how it is in Washington ... a trillion here, a trillion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money."
In the final part of the project, $80 Trillion will be spent to create a livable environment on Mars for all these new wealthy folks, so they can get away from what's left of the Earth.
