Val Doonican's Backing Band

Val Doonican, cardigan wearing song and dance man has launched a new album of love ballads, called VD for Lovers.

Doonican, known as V from the Hood, to those on the streets has issued the album to redeem himself in the favour of the general public, much as Neil Diamond, and Glen Campbell have done in the past.

This goes in direct contrast to the careers of many Pop Singers these days, whose first albums are just cover versions, with a key change in the middle for them to stand up in during live shows.

VD for Lovers contains such classics as Bachelor Boy, Elton John's The Bitch is Back, and Chuck Berry's My Ding a Ling.

It is released on April 1st 2009.

Make Ben Macnair's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
