Gary Glitter is all set to star in the new Home Alone movie alongside Macaulay Culkin.

"Negotiations are ongoing as we speak, but Gary is enthusiastic and so are we. It will be an interesting project for sure", stated Irish director Pete O' Feile.

Glitter will play himself, as producers look to create one of the most terrifying horror characters the big screen has ever witnessed.

"Gary has been given free rein and has come up with some creative ideas, although many of them are admittedly illegal", revealed Swiss producer Pede Derasstee.

"Still, this flick won't won't be PG, trust me on that",continued Italian screenwriter Mari Amolesta. "The prequels were comical, light-hearted family movies but we want to edge away from that with something a tad darker. Something that will get you on the edge of your seat but still have a comic element to it."

Macauley Culkin meanwhile, welcomes the opportunity to revive one of his most popular movie roles.

"My career is going nowhere so what the hey, I've got nothing better to do. Plus, I still look about 10."

Asked for his thoughts on working with Gary Glitter, Culkin said:

"Glitter!? Nobody told me about Glitter. This is a joke, right? I was told there were going to be sex scenes...Oh my God...first Jackson, now this guy!? Aw maaaan.'
