HOLLYWOOD (FMLiveWire) - The World Bigfoot Society (WBS) claims that its members are actually Wookies and has launched a lawsuit against George Lucas with multiple claims for damages.

The WBS has several hundred actual Bigfoot creatures as members as well as thousands of humans who are sympathetic to their cause.

George Walton Lucas, Jr. is the Oscar-winning independent film director, producer, screenwriter and Chairman of Lucasfilm who created the epic Star Wars series of movies which featured Wookies.

The Bigfoot group argues that its members are Wookies and that Lucas has brazenly and unjustly appropriated their Wookie identity in his Star Wars films. The lawsuit seeks hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

"We are not Bigfoots or Sasquatches," said WBS spokesman Arnold "Chewie" Chewbacca. "We are the real Wookies as George Lucas knows full well. He owes us big-time. Lucas has a net worth of $3.6 billion and we want a sizeable chuck of that."

Chewbacca went on to discuss how the image of Bigfoot creatures "is totally negative" and that they would prefer to be known as the more loveable Wookies popularized by the films of Lucas.

"The money would be put in trust to protect our mountain homelands throughout the planet and to compensate our unfortunate members and their families who are being hunted, preyed upon and even shot by adventurers for commercial gain," he stated.

The Bigfoot lawsuit is supported by Mr. Big Wookie, the new President of Georgia who has gained international prestige for bringing peace between his troubled war-torn country and Russia to end the recent war in his Caucasus mountain homeland (see related Spoof story).

George Lucas could not be reached for comment.
