Queen Mudder, the well-known story-writing sensation on satirical news website TheSpoof.com, has checked into a Rehab Clinic after suffering a mental breakdown, and is expected to spend up to two weeks in recovery.
Mudder, real name Tammy Whiplash, has written more than 2433 stories on The Spoof, and is churning out material at an unprecedented and increasing rate, sometimes producing as many as 5, or even 6, stories per day. This frenzied activity has now taken its toll.
Now, friends of the Queen have acted, and last night she was whisked away to a secret location where there is no access to the internet, and where she will undergo a series of tests. Once the results as to the level of her addiction are known, treatment will start on her condition.
Fellow writers at The Spoof have rallied to show their support for Her Royal Highness, some of them even posting touching messages on the site's forum boards. One, Declan Whinehouse, said:
"She's a brick. This will enable me to extend my lead."
Another, old comrade, Eric Gnarlson, recently departed from the site's pages, commented:
"Tammy will be back, you can count on it, bigger, better and more points than ever. You can rehabilitate Her, but you can't constipate Her!"
Spoof site administrator, the beleaguered Mark Lowton, busy editing dozens of freshly-written Queen Mudder stories, was unavailable for comment.
