Camden Town, London - (Conspiracy Mess): Camden Lock's notorious Whorely Arms boozer is in a state of shock after Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fidel-Civil and three pals were busted last night on trial-fixing charges.
In scenes reminiscent of the panic that shook London's East End in 1966 when Ronnie Kray shot dead George Cornell in the saloon bar of The Blind Beggar, the Camden bar has gone into omerta lock-down.
Winehouse and husband are the Whorely's biggest customers are rarely miss a chance of getting smashed in its A-List Celeb facilities.
Yesterday Fidel-Civil was already out on bail on GBH charges when cops swooped on him and his accomplices following allegations of a £200,000 plot to fix a court case.
Winehouse's house in Camden's Jeffrey Archer Place was then raided as cops spent three hours stripping it bare.
Details are still sketchy but sources close to the probe say Fidel-Civil was in the process of suborning a witness to his GBH activities with a £200,000 bung from wife Amy's burgeoning bank accounts.
The serious assault that got him into such trouble occured earlier this year at a Hoxton, North London pub called, appropriately perhaps, the Macbeth.
Winehouse is in hiding today as lawyers fight to get Fidel-Civil's bailbond extended.
But as conspiracy to pervert carried a maximum life sentence the odds of Winehouse getting her hubby back soon seem pretty slim.
Meanwhile the Whorely's jukebox was permanently stuck on just one Elvis song today....
'It'll be lonely this Christmas... Without you to hold,
Lonely this Christmas.... lonely and cold'.
Pete Doherty is back in rehab.
