Lennon Appears on David Letterman

Just days ago Larry King interviewed Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison. John Lennon was so taken with the events in Vegas, surrounding the Cirque Du Soleil musical LOVE, he struck a deal with St. Peter and contacted David Letterman because of his New York location.

"Amazing, absolutely amazed at the phone call I got this morning," said Letterman at the opening of the show, "You could have pinched me and I still wouldn't have believed it. John Lennon calling me? No way."

Yet when the show came on and Dave introduced his guest, Lennon did not disappoint, "He was there, he just appeared, no make up, no dressing room, he just was there."

"What did you expect?" asked Lennon, "Its not like I need to take a leak er somethin' Dave, I'm just 'ere to talk."

And talk he did, he complained that he and George weren't asked to be present at the show LOVE with his wife and former band mates. "Well you know," said Letterman, "Larry's getting a might senile."

"Well really..." replied John, "At his age he needs to start thinking about...yer know, the great beyond, face it mate, he's got shoulders like Shrek, he aint' gettin' no younger. Paul was makin' fun of him yer know, and he called Ringo George once, that was baaad George wanted to appear right then and their, but they wouldn't let him."

"So are you and George mad, are you going to haunt me now?" asked David trying to joke.

"Well we did actually talk that over yer know and we haven't actually worked out the details, but George is pretty keen on it. He actually has several hauntings being planned, you would be tops, but he also wants George Bush and Paris Hilton. Personally I'd like to haunt Paul and maybe Mick Jagger."
