Folk hero and Sporting legend John Prescott was today praised for his charity work by Kilburn based Car mechanic Les Mitchell.
Talking to our plain but extremely well endowed Home correspondent Peter Musgrove, Mr Mitchell said, "I used to service the Big Man's jags twice a year. Far from being the ignorant pig most people thought him to be, I always found Prezzers to be a wonderful man. Further he had a generosity of spirit not witnessed by this garage since the great Jim Davidson used to bring his wife in here for a good servicing, god rest his soul."
He continued, "Our lads knew that when they serviced John's cars you'd always find a great collection of Jazz mags in his glove compartment. We'd take them out obviously and have one off the Oliver together and you know, he never once asked for them back. Now that's what I call a gent."
Our reporter, when asked whether he'd like to take a look at, "Generous Grannies Volume 6", sensing that he could be getting embroiled in some kind of Oiled mechanics "Oliver Fest", made his excuses and left.
