image for Paris Hilton to foot $1,000+ per day bill for Lynwood 'room service' charges
At $1,000 a day the Beverly Wilshire Hotel would have been a cheaper deal

Lynwood Jail - (Ass Mess): 'Room Service' charges for socialite inmate Paris Hilton at the Lynwood Correctional Facility are said to be running at in excess of $1,000 per day and have been reported as being fully billable to her when her incarceration eventually ends.

Sources at the prison have indicated today that Hilton is to be charged the full cost of her confinement at a per diem rate of $1,109.78.

The figure is said to reflect the extra manpower costs involved in her 24 hour monitoring, medical costs, dietary and sanitary considerations and jail employees' "wear and tear" charges at having to put up with the constant stream of whineing and whinging from the troubled peroxide.

The average cost of keeping an inmate at the facility runs close to $99. But in the case of Hilton all the extras have added up to a price close to an average suite at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

"If we'd had her banged up at the Wilshire's Veranda Suite at $1,000 per day she'd be gitting all the extras, all the trimmings," an LA Sherrif's Department source said today.

That would include "a vast reception room with leather ottomans and luxurious dining area; high-speed and wireless Internet, 50" plasma TV; master bedroom with an armoire and large plasma TV, Italianate marble bathroom with deep soaking tub and separate, glass-enclosed shower" etc, according to the hotel's promo site.

Lynwood Jail has said it accepts all major credit and debit cards 'which have to be officially cleared before payment can be made in case inmates have acquired their plastic by non-legitimate leans', ie. stolen them.
