Sources at Channel 4 earlier this week told us that hundreds of emails containing a shortlist of candidates for next seasons Celebrity Big Brother had been mis-sent, to people unconnected with Endemol.
The list contained four names, one of which was disgraced 70's pop star, Gary Glitter who has recently just finished serving a prison sentence for sex with minors in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh.
Glitter 62, upon hearing about the communications slip claimed "I've not been contacted by anyone at Endemol, nor have I ever watched Big Brother. Following the racism associated with the last Celebrity Big Brother program, I don't feel it would be a beneficial career move"
Spokeswoman Judith Harrow a short time ago released a press statement confirming that Mr. Glitter had never been in consideration for being one of the next housemates in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but said simply "she wouldn't mind a gangbang with the man who put the bang in gang".
