Sir Paul McCartney to Play at the Blair/Bush Wedding

CCN (Crazy Cal News) - U.K. - Today, Sir Paul McCartney accepted Sir Elton John's proposal to play with him for Prime Minister Tony Blair's wedding to President George W. Bush.

When asked about his decision to play, Sir Paul McCartney replied, "Well, I wasn't too keen on the idea at first; however, Sir Elton reminded me how expensive my divorce was and told me how much money they would pay us to play. You could say that they made me an offer I couldn't refuse."

The two will begin work on the music and will record the songs at Abbey Road Studios. The hits will be released after they are performed at the wedding.

"It's not everyday that you can get two stars of such magnitude for your wedding," remarked Prime Minister Blair, "I feel so lucky I could faint."
