image for Celebrity Big Brother Proves Big Bother
CHI Unconshus interpreted the penguin atop the telly

Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother may be creating an international incident because of charges that Bollywood Star, Shilpa Shetty was subjected to racist comments by three of his white housemates.

"What is England coming to ": was the universal comment of British leaders from Buckingham Palace through Downing Street to the Parliament. This issue was so hot this reporter could not get one commentator to use their names.

Comments ranged from: "We owned India and now we are being preached to by some Jongali John Travolta!" to "I sipped the best gin in the empire under a fan held by this darky's ancestors and now my relaxation before the telly has to be marred by his thin brown skin?!".

Oddly this perceptive observer seemed to not even notice the penguin on top of his television set during our interview.

When I mentioned this to our psychological consultant at the paper, Colin Hector Ives Unconshus, his analysis was revealing: "You see, the penguin atop the telly has become a symbol for the denial in the dysfunctional family or nation. We talk and talk but never about the blasted penguin atop the telly!

"I told my Marge that if she didn't do something about that bloody bird and those arrogant Indians on that telly I'd go back to the pub where I spent the first five years of our marriage where there are no Indians and no immigrant birds from Antarctica distracting me from my television viewing!".

Make Pointer's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
