image for Rock n Roll Hall of Fame snubs The Stooges
Gna...Gna...gnaaa

NY Times reported that some hopefuls for the Hall fell short: "Nominees who did not make the cut this year include Chic, the Dave Clark Five, the Stooges and Joe Tex."

Our reporter sought out the loser's side of the story and scored big with these comments from spiteville. Chic was nonplussed by their rejection and lead singer, Foghorn Leghorne was quoted as saying: " I say...I say can't a chic get a fair shake!?".

The DC5 were all dead so their response was basically a no comment. Joe Tex thought for sure that this failure to recognize his musical greatness was due to the nation's new hatred of everything from Texas: "The irony is I come from the same affluent Maine suburb as W. !".

The biggest surprise was registered by The Stooges. Curley, obviously drowning his disappointment could barely slur: "Gna...Gna...gnaaa". Moe threatened to poke the judges' eyeballs out and Larry was seen cowering in a corner fearfully awaiting Moe's displaced rage.

Shemp was the only graceful loser of the night (if you don't count the DC5 cadavers). He said he would like tom thank the judges for at least remembering that he was one of the stooges. Curley Joe had no comment from his padded cell in the WC Field's Hospital for the Comically Insane.

Make Pointer's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
