image for Ratzinger's star role in new Vatican opera 'Hell Hath No Fury'
Natural talent for the role, no rehearsals needed

Vatican City - (Ass Mess): Pope Joseph Ratzinger is to take the lead role of Satan in a new lavish opera by Vatican composer Monsignor Marco Frisina based on Dante's Divine Comedy provisionally entitled "Hell Hath No Fury".

The lavish production boasts a glittering array of musicians and performers with Michael Jackson in the female lead role of Mary Magdalene, Luciano Pavarotti as Herod and Uri Geller in the cameo role of Judas.

Backing vocals are provided by the Creationist Museum Tabernacle Choir and the band of the Papal Swiss Guards will be fully armed in the orchestra pits. A guest appearance by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the role of Lazarus is still under negotiation as is Madonna's audition to play the Virgin Mary.

The opera will feature a number of all-time favorite songs from iconic rock groups such as The Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath and the Stranglers.

Rehearsals start next month and bookings for the first night at La Scala Opera House are already sold out.
