News coming from ITV this morning, that Richard Madley is to host a new chat show, planned to compete directly with the BBC's Graham Norton show on the much covoted Friday Night slot.
Tentatively titled 'All About Me' it seems ITV has finally given up on 'The Jonathan Ross Show', which has been haemorrhaging millions of viewers, and rumoured to be moved this Autumn to an afternoon slot on weekdays.
Although the format of 'All About Me' is closely guarded, 'The Spoof' can reveal that the show will run for two hours, and will feature an hour long 'monologue' from Richard. He will tell an array of amusing anecdotes, from his days as a 'news hound', to the infamous 'Judy flashing her tits' incident. Richard will be seen, perched on top of a tall stool (akin to the much missed 'Dave Allen Show'), and will be seen chain smoking, with a tumbler of whisky by his side.
'The Chat' will be added by a celebrity studio audience, firing 'unrehearsed' questions at Richard, and there will be rare out takes of his many TV appearances, including an incident on 'This Morning' that has never been aired, when Richard clearly had an erection whilst interviewing ex-prime minister Tony Blair.
More details on the show as we get them. We'll keep you posted.
