Last night's episode of Australia's Got Talent was the first for a new judge, Bob Smith, who proved tougher than Kyle Sandilands.
In a controversial move that is still being debated, the new judge rejected every audition performance.
The judge reportedly refused to wear the same designer labels as the other judges; Dannii Minogue, Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, reportedly settling on a heavy duty SWAT outfit including flak jacket and helmet.
Of a performance by a popular performer, Rikki Arnot, Bob had this to say: 'There is no way I would ever want to hear your voice on an album even if it was free.'
Dannii's sister Kylie also tried her hand at auditioning, and was told 'There is generally no way I would consider you for a place as a competitor, not even if I was bribed.'
Bob continues to attract controversy, reportedly reducing an up-and-coming debut performer known only by her first name Courtney to tears.
