Bravo spokesman Andy Cohen announced today that the reality based, network heavy weight will be launching another housewives reality show in the fall of 2014.
"The Real Housewives of Public Housing" will be based on the south side of Chicago in the historic Bronzeville area. "You think those New Jersy women are tough, they are nothing compared to these hardcore moms" Cohen said while standing next to life size cut outs of the cast.
Film crews began following the day to day lives of cast members, Sheila Brown, Felica Deville, Coco De Sharie , Crazy Molly Washington and Big Mama Jones just before Christmas of 2013. Much like the other housewives series, this version shows the cat fights, back stabbings and complicated relationships of the women of the 35th Street Homes, who know exactly how to have a sidewalk slapdown and still talk on their cell phones without missing a beat.
"I thought the women from Atlanta, New Jersey and Orange County were industrious, but they ain't got nothing on these Chicago gals" Cohen said while having a Banana Martini at the exclusive "Dirtbags" lounge in the trendy West Village". "I had to come up with something new and I thought, hmmmmmm, there are not many shows about poor people, except Honey Boo Boo and Duck Dynasty, so why not a show about life in the projects, I amaze myself!"
